Finding Treasures

miércoles 29 de abril de 2009

Yesterday Corcoise and I stumbled upon the Madrid'd book fair during one of our walks. Among all the stands of old books I found this little jewels:

First, 2 books of the Very-very-hard-to-find spanish edition of the adventures of Moomintroll by Tove Jansson. I truely adore theese books since i was ten and I found an edition of "Moomin at winter" in my school library. Since then I´ve never had the chance to read another one until yesterday :)

Secondly, we found this french book of "one story a day" with such wonderful wonderful illustrations in it. I was only 3 € so it was a very lucky discovering. As you see the cover isn´t much great...

But when you open it...

There are hundreds of ispirating illustrations on it from 6 different illustrators: Porter G, Hilda Offen, Esme Eve, Alain Jesset, Richard Hooke and Pradera... Now I´m "google-ing" them to know more about them...

I also found the boock that neil Gaiman wrote in collaboration with my beloved terry pratchett "Good Omens", an hillarant novel about the end of the world. Now I´ve got a huge pile of readings over my table :)

PS:Sorry for this "non-illustrations" period, I´m taking a little break from stress troubles and having time to take care of myself.
