I can't wait to see them hanging on my kitchen's wall.
Tomorrow I will try to upload some more pictures of them in the daylight. Now there is not light enough to take a proper photograph.
This time is actually a multi-collaboration. I made three of the six illustrations of an "Exquisite corpse" short story, written by six different authors. The other 3 illustrations were done by L Filipe dos Santos, aka Corcoise. It is a story about a man who has just left jail and goes to a bar where he reunites with his old gang after years of separation.
We decided to make them all in the same style: plain color backgrounds and the characters/subjects done just with pencil lines, in order to give them all a coherent look. But at the same time we wanted to respect our individual styles and preferences. I feel more confortable drawing faces close-ups and little details with not so many elements around. Corcoise has a very skillful way to make multi-subject illustrations and backgrounds.
So, in this post you can see number two, four and six of the series. And in this link to L Filipe's blog you can see number one, three and five.
On this sunny saturday morning I am working on this couple of little lovely cowboys. This is not a comissioned work. It's just something I am doing for my kitchen wall :)
